Best Time of Year to Build a Patio or Outdoor Kitchen in the Charlotte Area
Spring books up fast and winter is quietly the best time to schedule. How seasonality affects hardscape timelines and pricing across Charlotte & Lake Norman.

We build year-round across the Charlotte & Lake Norman area — hardscaping isn't seasonal the way landscaping is. But when you call does change how fast you get on the schedule and, sometimes, what you pay. Here's the honest rhythm of a Carolina hardscape calendar.
Winter (Dec–Feb): the quiet secret
Crews have more availability, lead times are shortest, and Charlotte winters are mild enough to build through. If you book in winter, your patio or outdoor kitchen is finished and ready before everyone else is even getting quotes in spring.

Spring (Mar–May): the rush
This is when most homeowners call, so it's when schedules fill and lead times stretch the most. Beautiful weather, but if you want the work done by early summer, you really needed to book in late winter.
Summer & fall: prime use, steady building
Summer heat slows nobody down, and fall is arguably the best season to enjoy a new fire feature or kitchen. Both are great times to build — just expect to plan a few weeks ahead. Whenever you call, the first step is the same: a free on-site measure and a written estimate within a week.
